Kids Korner Newsletter Greetings from Kids Korner!!! It's March! Time to March to a different time! It's Daylight Savings Time - when we spring ahead one hour! March celebrates National Peanut Month, Music in our Schools Month, Newspaper in Education, St. Patrick's Day, Big Bird's Birthday, Make Your Own Holiday Day, and most importantly Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Resurrection Day! Christmas comes and everybody is excited about presents, decorations, presents, Christmas cookies, presents . . . sometimes we forget that Christmas is when we celebrate the Birth of Christ Jesus. Then comes January and February when it's cold and snowy. We need to remember though that Christmas is just the beginning - the reason that Christ came was to help us learn about Himself, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. The end of His time on earth was all about what is coming the end of this month. Palm Sunday (Matthew 21) was the beginning of an important week. Good Friday (Matthew 26- 27) was known years ago as God's Friday. I like that . . . it was God's Friday when He died on the cross to pay for our sins. It didn't end there! Christ Jesus died, was buried, and rose again (Matthew 28) Jesus died for our sins but didn't stay in the grave. He rose again . . . and that is what we as Christians - Christ followers - celebrate every day of the year! Hopefully your Easter - I prefer Resurrection Day - isn't just about Easter candy, finding colored eggs, or new clothes. I hope that you and your family will truly celebrate what Christ has done for us.
