POLYNESIAN PORK RIBS
Country Style Pork ribs –
quantity to suit your crowd
Ground ginger
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Soy sauce
canned pineapple chunks, drained
Sweet Baby Ray's or Cookies Barbecue Sauce, or pick your favorite!
Arrange a single layer of ribs in
a baking pan.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, ground ginger, and soy sauce.
Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees, for ½ hour.
Drain any fat and juice that’s accumulated.
Add salt and pepper.
Arrange pineapple chunks over the meat.
If you’re not using a sweet barbeque sauce, sprinkle with brown sugar.
Smother in/cover with barbecue sauce…to taste!
Bake, uncovered for 1 ½ to 2 hours longer, or until meat is fork tender.
Notes:
- This recipe isn’t an exact science; it’s to your taste. But more importantly
–it’s for any size family! And it’s such a great meal for the time and energy
it takes to prepare.
- Slice a sweet onion and arrange over the top with the pineapple chunks.
- The ginger helps give it that Polynesian flare, but if your family doesn’t
like it, leave it out.
- Or use fresh grated ginger…carefully!
- Use more or less garlic.
