September 2007 Questions

1. With the kids back in school, how will your daily schedule change?

 1. Kids are grown and out of the house. So I guess my schedule will stay the same.
 2. I will spend more time decluttering the house. Thinning out piles of paper, closets, drawers, and a little more time on the internet.
 3. I have to get up earlier.
 4. I will be teaching an extra exercise class at the local YMCA. I will be working out on the days my youngest is in preschool. I will be running more with after school activities.
 5. it doesn't
 6. Not impacted. I don't have children.
 7. Now I'm homeschooling so my time is more occupied.
 8. Each morning instead of leaving early and running misc. errands and daddy taking our daughter to grandma's I take her to school. Over my lunch I leave and run her to grandma's and back to work with no lunch. but it is great to see her face at lunch time. Errands are now run on weekends.
 9. Since we homeschool, our daily schedule will be more full!
 10. none
 11. No kids at home. All grown and on their own (somewhat).

2. What's on your "to do list" for this fall?

 1. Yard work at home and around the church.
 2. maybe get some pictures in photo books. Hopefully visit colleges.
 3. My goals don't change much depending on the time of year.
 4. Develop further my relationship with christ. Get into a routine of reading my bibe daily. Take my kids to do fun activities. Get my house in order. Work on losing weight and getting healthy.
 5. thinning plants, painting my bathroom and kitchen and taking a ride to view the beautiful colors of fall. God does an amazing job when he paints this world. :)
 6. Work on fall cleaning (I slacked this spring)
 7. Finish all the home-improvement that didn't get accomplished during the summer.
 8. Find a new home!
 9. Too much to list - LOL
 10. Fishing, preaching, garden clean-up
 11. Daily walks and enjoying the color change.

3. September is Children's Good Manners Month. What do you do to model good manners for your children?

 1. I always tend to live my life with Gods guidance and support. I hope this follows through to my kids as an exceptable and will guide them to also seek God and Gods way.
 2. Being polite to strangers and saying your welcome instead of of saying yeh.
 3. Make them clean up after themselves.
 4. Respecting others. Not making fun of other people.
 5. use good manners my self
 6. No children, but when I am around children I try to be polite and always remind them to say please and thank you. (I have to remind some adults about this as well.)
 7. Watch a lot of Pride & Prejudice! Ha Ha We do not have anything formal to model manners - which probably we should.
 8. We focus on taking turns talking, saying thank you and your welcome.
 9. I use good manners (please, thank you, excuse me, etc.)
 10. none at home.
 11. Being polite and kind, and assisting people where I can is the way I was raised. I instill this in my children also.

4. September 9 is/was Grandparents Day. What role do -or did- Grandparents play in your children's lives?

 1. As a Grandparent I love to spoil my grandkids (at least a little).
 2. very little
 3. We go to my parents every Sunday for lunch. I know it is a special time for me and I think it is also a special time to my children.
 4. My mother takes my children to church on the weekends when me and my husband work. My father gives my children guidance when we need extra help giving it to them:) My in-laws: do more of the physical stuff, watch the kids, fix Sunday dinner, ect... All in all the grandparents are very loving.
 5. they were always good role models, taught good life lessons and served up and unending supply of hugs and unconditional love. (not to mention cookies and candies too)
 6. My children are my cats and my mom always makes sure to give them treats when she is over. Otherwise she watches my sisters children during the summer when she is off work.
 7. Not much, one set is only seen about once a year, the other set are seen several times a year.
 8. Grandma watches our daughter daily. And grandpa just adores her.
 9. My parents take the kids to their place for one week each summer for grandparent/grandchild vacation.
 10. We ARE the grandparents LOL We try to visit/be visited by all 16 grandchildren on a regular basis. three are in Ohio so they are not as regular as we would like.
 11. Relating the "good old days" to "now-a-days" stories always fascinated me. I wish to continue this with my grandchildren as they grow to become young responsible adults.
