January 2007 Questions

1. The new year is full of possibilities and opportunities. What is your goal for the coming year?
1. continue to loose weight - lost 25 last year and 10 to 15 this year.
2. to not use sweets like chocolate as a source of comfort. I have been without chocolate now it is my 3rd. week. Praise the Lord!
3. I don't really have a goal for the year. I tend to think a weekely,daily, and hourly goal. It is that I would use my time wisely. Reading adn memorizing scripture. Praising my kids, other, my husband and myself. Finaly doing for others with/without being asked
4. To make only one New Year's resolution.
5. Keep things simple. Learn to travel light. Spend more time enjoying family & friends! Downsize. Rent a 40 yard dumpster & start flingin! Just kidding! One piece of something at a time! Do I really need to save that?!
6. To be launched into the purposes God inteded for me. I've always wanted to be part of an outreach ministry.
7. To become more intimate with Jesus. To spend more time with the Lord. To have more responsibity at my job. To take a pottery class. To donate blood every 8 wks.
8. After being diagnosed with cancer in August of 2006 I have looked at life much differently. My goal for 2007 is to become a better christian, a better person and to make the best of every day the Lord gives me. In Psalms we read "what a beautiful day the Lord has given us, let us go forth and rejoice and be glad in it. For yesterday is gone and tomorrow does not yet belong to any of us". Each day is a gift from God and I want to share all its glory and positives with everyone.
9. my goal for this coming year is to share the Love of Christ with others and help save a few more souls this year with God's Love.
10. First and foremost is to have a closer walk with God, and to keep on praying that my family will come to know the Jesus whom I serve and love so much loves them just as much. I pray for a home of my own, to eat better, and try to get all my bills paid.
11. to loose weight and to increase my prayer time
12. Serve others in the area of wellness and strength and conditioning in my internship and in my upcoming new career!!
13. To become more organized
14. Devote more time to my family and to my music.
15. I will continue to stay close to my God & Savior with the help of the Holy Spirit in all things!

18. To complete my pregnancy safely and to constantly dedicate my baby to the Lord and look to him for guidance as my husband and I raise our firstborn.
19. Spend more time in studying God's work, individually and in groups; socialize more and make new friends in the community.

22. My goal is to continue to stregthen my relationship with God. Continuing to seek time with him and reading the word.

24. My goal for 2007 is to read through the Bible and to exercise.

27. Simply our life!! Clean out some of the junk that weighs us down so we can focus on the important things.
28. To draw closer to the Lord.
29. I am going to be a part of a new ministry a woodlands churh in Plover called celebrate recovery. It is A ministry to help with hurts,hang ups and habits. I am a believer and Christ and struggle with alcoholism. I have been alcohol free for 1.5 years with the help help of Christ. My goal for the upcoming year is to help as many people as I can with alcoholism and many other issues. Another goal I have is to bring at least 20 people to have faith in Christ through the ministry and with the help of a book writtten by Bill Hybels called "just walk across the room". I highly reccomend reading this book.
30. To have the boldness to speak the truth in love to those God places in my path. There are so many who need to know the love of Jesus.
31. To read the one year with the bible along with everyone in my church--i have done it once but I am looking forward to see what God will be speaking to me this year through his word---and oh yeah--TO CLEAN MY GARAGE!!! SO I CAN AT LEAST GET MY VECHILE IN IT!! LOL!! AND OF COURSE AS USUAL DIET, DIET, DIET!! LOL
32. To prepare myself to go on a missions trip, loving Him more.
33. My goal is to live debt free for 07. Start saving to buy my own house after going through a divorce in 06. My plan is to own in 2 years.
34. To be more loving and accepting of people. I am going to make an effort to not judge people.

 

2. How does your faith direct your choices and decisions?
1.
What would HE do or what would He want me to do?
2. Because GREATER is HE that is in me then he that is in the world. The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. The scriptures keep me in line as a reminder to seek JESUS first instead of my sweets. The decision to follow christ will be to follow his word.as a source of comfort food.
3. Having a church, sisters/brothers in christ, and an AWESOME radio statio really helps. It also helps when I stay positive and focus on Christ's Love for others.
4. God's word contains specific do's and don't's for some things, so those are obvious. For the decisions that are not so obvious, there are several questions that need answering: Is it the truth? Is it kind? Will anyone be harmed? Does it reflect the love of Christ? Does it bring honor to God? If those questions can be answered positively, then its probably the right thing to do.
5. My faith should direct my choices all the time. But, most times I get caught up in just surviving. I want to learn to live more like Jesus did. Jesus didn't travel with much; a few close friends & words that he carried in his heart from his Abba!
6. In every way! Prayer comes first in any decision made.
7. I pray about the desions I make because I know that God has my best interests in mind. I want to trust him about everything.
8. It helps me to smile when I really want to frown. I strongly believe it helps me to be more forgiving and understanding in my choices and decisions at work, home and elsewhere.
9. my faith is all I rely on. God's will for me is His will so I accept it.
10. Everyday I pray and ask God to go before me and set the day and if I have to go somewhere that he would go before me and whatever or whoever I encounter that day. I hope I could be a beacon of light to them if they are hurting or even just to smile at someone you never know it just may make their day whatever as long as God has gone before and then stays with me so that whatever or whomever may come along He will be in it and guide me in every way. I trust Him much more than I trust myself.

12. 100% - I try to take Jesus and his teachings with me throughout every day. His love has taught me the true meaning of love and helped me understand others more accurately and sympathetically.
13. It helps keep me more grounded and less likely to act in haste.

15. I make decisions & choices based on what would God say/or think and I remember he already knows everything about me. I trust Him to guide me.
16. As I witness I realize how little I know.
17. What choices? Isn't that what religion is about..telling you what to think? ;-)
18. Yes, absolutely. If it's not God's will, I don't want it. My Aba Father knows what's best for me.
19. In the larger sense, I try to take my choices and decisions to God in prayer. In the day-to-day world, it's not as easy, but with CFR to help start and end my day, I am built up and encouraged.

22. My faith and relationship with God is the key to directing these choices and decisions. Without that it would just be ME, and not Him. I can not do anything without God ever present.

24. My faith in Jesus Christ has everything to do with the direction I end up taking. I may kick and scream over some of them but, His way is always best.
25. I pray about everything and listen to hear His voice
26. It acts as a measuring stick. If it doesn't measure up then it is not worth doing or I should choose not to do it. My problem as a sinner is I don't always use it. :(
27. It plays a big part in the decisions we make.
28. I tried to make decisions based on what I believe the Lord wants.
29. My faith directly effects my every choice in life. Every choice I make, I make with christ in mind. God has told us how we should live in the Bible. I make very decision based upon what Christ would do.(Most of the time) I do make mistakes however. I constantly pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance on making decisions.
30. It is the foundation of decisions and choices I make. If it's contrary to God's Word, I try to run in the opposite direction as fast as I can.
31. I really try and pray that my faith will be the root of all my choices this year--to try to love and forgive one another as Jesus does us.
32. It is the only way I make decisions! He is my Guidance.
33. I will be depending on the Lord to keep me on track with my finances. For 07 I want to please my Lord in all that I do. I feel with the new year I am beginning a new life. I have a clean slate and want to keep it that way. I am trusting that the Lord will help me put my past away and leave it like He has forgiven for my sins. :)
34. I'm just trying to be like Jesus with skin on.
